preview is a view and mutates nothing, so it is safe to call from anywhere.

knotQuote is what a taker actually receives. The gap between localQuote and knotQuote is the value retained for LPs on that trade.

preview reverts with NotMember for an address that is not a registered member. Check isMember(hook) first if the address is user-supplied.
